The Technical Training Program focuses on the following themes and sectors:

• (renewable) energy: solar PV, solar water heating, solar drying, biogas, biomass, pico hydropower, micro hydropower, hybrid systems, wind energy, improved (energy saving) cook stoves

• technology and engineering: mechanical/mechanics, automotive/motor mechanics, welding, electricity, electronics, auto Cad, hydraulics and pneumatics

• water and sanitation: water quality, manual and mechanical well drilling, plumbing

• agriculture and food processing: biomass-based drying techniques, operation, maintenance and repairs of agricultural machinery and equipment, small scale irrigation systems

• gender, technology and development: empowerment of women and men in the use, operation and maintenance of technologies
